Bryce Parmelly coached at the NCAA Division III level from 2005-2019, most recently as the head coach of the women’s tennis team at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Prior to Willamette, Bryce was the assistant men’s tennis coach at Middlebury College (Vt.), and was both the assistant and head men’s tennis coach at the University of California-Santa Cruz. Throughout his career Bryce has coached multiple all-Americans, numerous individual and team NCAA national champions, and received multiple coaching honors including the ITA national assistant coach of the year award in 2017.

Bryce played tennis at UC Santa Cruz from 2001-2005. As a senior in 2005, he was a starting member of UCSC’s national championship team (NCAA Division III) and received all-american honors. While competing at UC Santa Cruz, Bryce reached his highest collegiate national ranking of #2 in doubles his senior year . As a team, UCSC finished in the top five nationally all four years that Bryce competed for the Banana Slugs.

Bryce has recently moved to the Bay Area to pursue a master’s degree in somatic psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). He enjoys surfing, cycling, and long backpacking trips. He hopes to one day combine his love for working with kids, somatic psychology, and the outdoors in an effort to create a new career for himself. He is excited to be teaching at the RRC, having a long history of teaching people of all ages and ability levels.
